Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Catlea's passion for music was evident from a young age. They attended the School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where they honed their skills in various instruments, including piano, acoustic guitar, rhythm guitar, and ukulele. This diverse musical foundation laid the groundwork for their eclectic style, which would later incorporate elements of indie pop, rock, and EDM.

After completing their education, Catlea began performing locally, captivating audiences with their unique sound and emotive performances. Their early experiences in Cincinnati's vibrant music scene provided invaluable opportunities to develop their artistry and connect with a growing fanbase.

In 2019, Catlea released their first single, marking the beginning of a promising career. Over the next few years, they released 12 international singles produced in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London, Barcelona, and Bucharest. These releases garnered over 6 million streams and attracted a following of 140,000 across social media and streaming platforms.

Their breakthrough came with the release of the 'Bones' EP, featuring the standout single 'Like Me', which achieved 1.2 million streams across all platforms and 150,000 music video views on YouTube. This success paved the way for their debut full-length album, 'Language Barrier', released in March 2025. The album, produced in collaboration with Jason Boshoff, explores themes of communication and personal growth, resonating deeply with listeners worldwide.
