Jonah Kagen is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist from Savannah, Georgia. He began his music career at the age of six when he received his first guitar lesson. Kagen's grandfather, a jazz musician, inspired him to dive deep into the technical aspects of the guitar, and he was particularly influenced by guitarist Andy McKee's finger-style technique. Kagen's debut EP, 'georgia got colder,' was released in December 2022 on Arista Records, and he has accumulated over 140 million global streams.
He has toured the US supporting Maisie Peters and has around 2 million Spotify monthly listeners. Kagen's music transcends genre norms, drawing inspiration from a wide array of musicians such as Anson Seabra, Lauv, Julia Michaels, Lost Frequencies, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Kygo. He is also known for his singles 'Moon' and 'Broken,' the latter of which he teased on TikTok by encouraging his followers to co-write with him. Additionally, Kagen was the captain of the Cornell University varsity men's soccer team, and his family currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
