Mogli, real name Selima Taibi, is a German singer-songwriter born in Frankfurt am Main to an Algerian father and German mother. After appearing on The Voice of Germany in 2012, she won the VUT Indie Award for Best Newcomer for her crowdfunded 2015 debut album Bird. She and then-partner, filmmaker Felix Starck, chronicled a school-bus journey from Alaska to Mexico in the documentary Expedition Happiness, soundtracked by her 2017 album Wanderer, and she independently released her 2026 album Ravage, exploring themes of identity and belonging.

Career
Taibi sang in the Frankfurt Opera's children's choir at eleven before competing on The Voice of Germany in 2012. She has since built an independent, self-managed career without a record label, releasing music under the name Mogli including 2026's Ravage, which she has said celebrates the courage of being different.
