Sian Eleri

Born on November 12, 1994, in Caernarfon, Wales, Sian Eleri Evans grew up immersed in the rich cultural heritage of her homeland. A fluent Welsh speaker, she attended local schools before pursuing higher education at the University of Leeds, where she studied broadcast journalism. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for her future career in media, blending her love for storytelling with a deep appreciation for music.

Sian's broadcasting journey began in 2018 with BBC Radio Cymru, where she honed her skills as a presenter. Her talent and enthusiasm quickly caught the attention of BBC Radio 1, leading to her covering 'The Chillest Show' during the 2019 festive period. By November 2020, she had secured a permanent position, taking over the show and introducing listeners to a curated selection of relaxing tunes.

In 2021, Sian expanded her repertoire by hosting the 'Power Down Playlist,' a program designed to help listeners unwind with soothing music. Her ability to connect with audiences and showcase diverse musical genres earned her widespread acclaim. In December 2023, she was announced as the new host of 'Selector Radio,' a global platform that highlights the best of UK music to an international audience. In August 2023, she presented the BBC Three documentary series 'Paranormal: The Girl, the Ghost and the Gravestone,' delving into intriguing supernatural stories.
