Silia Kapsis

Silia was born to Cypriot singer Giorgos Kapsis and Greek lawyer and former dancer Despina 'Rebecca' Saivanidis from Thessaloniki. Growing up in Sydney, she was immersed in music and dance from a young age, eventually becoming the lead singer for the Australian Youth Performing Arts Company (AYPAC). Her talent caught the attention of audiences worldwide, leading her to perform at various events and even as the solo performer at actor Alex Russell's 30th birthday event in Los Angeles.

In 2022, Silia released her debut single 'Who Am I?', which she wrote and composed at the age of 12. This marked the beginning of her musical journey, followed by two more singles, 'No Boys Allowed' and 'Disco Dancer', in 2023. Her fourth single, 'Night Out', showcased her versatility by blending R&B and pop sounds.

Apart from her music career, Silia also made strides in the world of dance and acting. She was selected for the prestigious ImmaBeast Dance Company in Los Angeles and worked with renowned choreographers like Stephen 'tWitch' Boss. Additionally, she made her acting debut in the 2022 short film 'Pearly Gates' and appeared in various television projects for Australian Nickelodeon.

In September 2023, Silia was announced as the Cypriot entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, representing Cyprus with her song 'Liar'. This marked a significant milestone in her career, further solidifying her presence on the international stage.

On May 7, 2024 Silia open annually contest Eurovision 2024, place has been took at Sweden, Malmo.

Throughout her career, Silia has received recognition for her talents, including awards such as the Bobby McCloughan Creative Arts Award, the St Vincent's College Madame Christian Scholarship for Singing, and scholarships to prestigious performing arts colleges like BuildaBeast Sydney and Village Nation.

With her dedication, versatility, and undeniable talent, Silia Kapsis continues to captivate audiences worldwide and is poised to achieve even greater success in the years to come.
