Adam Melchor

Adam Melchor was born on May 18, 1996, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Growing up in a musically inclined family, he was exposed to various genres from a young age. His grandfather was a member of the New York Philharmonic, and several relatives were music teachers. This rich musical environment nurtured Adam's passion for music.

During his school years, Adam participated in choir and musical theater, further honing his vocal skills. He pursued his passion for opera at Montclair State University, where he earned a degree in Classical Voice Performance. Despite his classical training, Adam found himself increasingly drawn to songwriting and contemporary music, influenced by artists such as Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell.

After completing his studies, Adam began writing and recording his own songs, initially producing demos in his bedroom and car. He performed at various venues across New Jersey and New York, gradually building a following. In 2017, he released his debut EP, 'The Archer', which received positive reviews for its heartfelt lyrics and intricate acoustic arrangements.

In 2018, Adam moved to Los Angeles to further his music career. There, he collaborated with artists such as Charlie Puth and The Chainsmokers. He also toured with acts such as Mt. Joy, Dodie, and Rodrigo y Gabriela, expanding his audience. His single 'Real Estate', released in December 2018, became a fan favorite and significantly boosted his visibility in the indie music scene.

In 2021, Adam signed with Warner Records and released 'Melchor Lullaby Hotline Vol. 1', a collection of songs from his weekly home-recording series. The project showcased his ability to craft intimate, soothing melodies. He also co-wrote songs for artists like Ashe and Laufey.

In 2022, he released his full-length album, 'Here Goes Nothing!', which displayed a more diverse sound, blending elements of indie, folk, and alternative pop. The album was well received, with critics praising his songwriting and vocal delivery. In 2023, he released the EP 'Fruitland', further refining his indie pop style. The EP featured themes of nostalgia and self-reflection, cementing his reputation as a thoughtful lyricist.

Adam Melchor's discography includes several albums and EPs. In 2017, he released his debut EP, 'The Archer'.
