Alexandre Grimaldi was born in Paris in 2003, the son of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Nicole Coste, a former Air France flight attendant from Togo, making him a grandson of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly. He spent his childhood between southern France, New York and Geneva before settling in London around age seven, later studying at Royal Holloway, University of London.
He has appeared in fashion campaigns, including Nahmias' collection tied to the Monaco Formula 1 race, and founded EO Ventures, a company fostering relationships between Monégasque entities and international businesses, with collaborations spanning automotive brand Brabus and the art world via Hauser & Wirth. He has spoken about his ambition to help develop Monte Carlo into a broader cultural hub.
