Big Warm Bed

Jacob Andrews, known professionally as Big Warm Bed, hails from Leeds, United Kingdom. Growing up in a musically inclined environment, he developed a passion for songwriting and performance from a young age. Influenced by artists like Kevin Morby and Willie J Healey, Jacob began crafting his unique sound that blends elements of indie rock, freak folk, and psych-pop.

Before embarking on his solo career, Jacob gained valuable experience touring globally as part of Far Caspian's backing band. This exposure to diverse audiences and musical styles helped shape his artistic vision and prepared him for his own musical journey.

In September 2024, Big Warm Bed released his debut EP, 'Shores I'm Swimming In', under the indie label Dance To The Radio. The EP features tracks like 'Should’ve Seen It Coming', 'Jackie', and 'Can’t Quit', each offering a glimpse into Jacob's personal experiences and emotions.

The EP has been praised for its introspective lyrics and retro-rock sound, drawing comparisons to artists like Kevin Morby and Willie J Healey. Jacob describes the EP as a timestamp of the last 4 or 5 years of his life, exploring themes of friendship, loss, and personal struggles, all wrapped in a retro-rock aesthetic.

Following the release of his debut EP, Big Warm Bed embarked on a series of live performances across the UK and Europe. Notable appearances include a debut headliner at Leeds’ Hyde Park Book Club and a festival slot at Left Of The Dial in Rotterdam.

Jacob's live shows are known for their intimate atmosphere and emotional depth, resonating with audiences and showcasing his ability to connect through music. His performances have been well-received, further establishing him as a promising artist in the indie music scene.
