Birna Kristjansdottir is an Icelandic heptathlete and long jumper who competes collegiately for the Virginia Tech Hokies. A seventeen-time Icelandic national champion, she holds multiple Icelandic age-group records and has represented Iceland internationally at the European U18 and U20 Championships, the European Youth Olympic Festival, and the Nordic U20 Championships, where she won silver and bronze medals in the long jump.

Kristjansdottir signed with Virginia Tech's track and field program in 2021 as a multi-event and jumps specialist after a decorated junior career representing Iceland internationally since 2017. At Virginia Tech, she has competed in the heptathlon and individual jumping and hurdling events at ACC Championship level.
