Born on February 23, 1996, in Dublin, Ireland, Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, known professionally as CMAT, spent her formative years in County Meath. CMAT briefly attended Trinity College Dublin before leaving to pursue her musical ambitions, including a stint in Denmark for a songwriting camp.
