Cushla's professional career took off with her involvement in community radio stations across Belfast, where she honed her presenting skills and built a loyal listener base. Her dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, leading to her current role as a presenter on Q Radio. She hosts evening shows on weekdays from 7 to 10 pm and a Saturday brunch slot from 10 am to 2 pm, where her engaging style and music selection have garnered widespread acclaim.

A significant highlight in Cushla's career was her selection for BBC Radio 1's Christmas Takeover, an initiative designed to showcase emerging talent. In December 2024, she had the opportunity to present Mollie King's Future Pop show, a testament to her growing influence in the industry.
