New EP: ghost beach
Somewhere outside of space and time lies an ocean glittering under perpetual twilight, with blue waves crashing onto a golden shore. This dreamworld, home to lost things, forgotten memories, and past lives, is the setting and title of dayaway's highly anticipated third EP, ghost beach.
ghost beach sees the band exploring classic surf rock reminiscent of Dick Dale and his Del-Tones and the Surfaris, with dreamy nods to new wave and psychedelia. This EP epitomizes dayaway's world-building, taking listeners on surreal journeys to the ocean's depths or the far reaches of space. Beneath the lush, beachy soundscapes, the songs are artfully crafted love stories capturing pure longing, nostalgia, regret, loneliness, and bliss.
Previous Releases and Success
dayaway's self-titled debut EP arrived in 2022 to immediate acclaim.
