Demuja is the project of Austrian DJ and producer Bernhard Weiss, based in Salzburg. He blends house, hip-hop, and drum'n'bass into a raw sound that draws on 1990s aesthetics, and performs more than 75 shows a year worldwide.

From Breakdance Champion to Full-Time Producer
Weiss grew up in a musical household — his father was a drummer who gave him his first instruction — before shifting from percussion into breakdancing, where he became a two-time Austrian Breakdance Champion. He discovered house music at an afterparty following a dance battle, a turning point that led him toward electronic music production.
He began producing around 2015, initially working in drum'n'bass and hip-hop before folding in house elements, and later left part-time graphic design work to focus on music full-time. He has released on labels including Nervous Records, Madhouse Records, Freerange Records, and Future Classic, and founded his own independent label, MUJA, in 2017. Despite touring internationally through cities like New York, Paris, Berlin, and Tbilisi, he remains based in Salzburg.
