Jess Iszatt grew up in Hertford, United Kingdom, in a family of devoted Tottenham Hotspur supporters. This early exposure to football fostered a deep connection to the sport, which later influenced her professional endeavors. She pursued higher education at the University of Newcastle, where she earned a 2:1 BA Honours degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Media and Communications. During her university years, Jess developed a passion for radio broadcasting, actively participating in Newcastle Student Radio (NSR) and gaining experience that would shape her future career.

Jess Iszatt's radio career began with volunteer roles at BBC Three Counties Radio and BBC Essex, where she honed her skills and built a foundation in broadcasting. In 2016, she secured her first on-air position with Magic Chilled, hosting a weekday show that featured fresh, laid-back hits. Her talent and dedication led to her becoming the presenter and producer of the BBC Music Introducing show on BBC Radio London, airing every Saturday night. In this role, Jess has been instrumental in showcasing emerging artists and has covered for various BBC Radio 1 shows, including Future Artists, The Chillest Show, and Early Breakfast. Her contributions have been recognized with a Silver award for Best New Talent at the Frank Gillard Awards.
