John Glacier, born in 1995 in Hackney, London, was raised in a vibrant and culturally rich environment. Coming from a Jamaican household, Glacier was exposed to a diverse array of musical genres from a young age. Dancehall rhythms, reggae melodies, and the sounds of pop icons like Britney Spears and underground rap artists like DMX and D-Block Europe all shaped her musical sensibilities.
Growing up in Hackney's Clapton side, Glacier found solace and inspiration in her surroundings. Despite the challenges of urban life, she developed a deep connection to her neighborhood and its eclectic mix of cultures. As a child, she gravitated toward poetry as a means of self-expression, giving written poems as gifts and immersing herself in the power of language.
