Kanako Yamamoto

Kanako Yamamoto was born on November 8, 2000, in Tokyo, Japan. She began her musical education at the age of four, learning to play the guzheng, a traditional Chinese string instrument. Her early training was rigorous, often practicing for eight hours a day, focusing primarily on classical and Communist-era songs. This disciplined approach instilled in her a strong foundation in music but left little room for personal expression.

After achieving national recognition in China for her guzheng performances, Kanako took a ten-year hiatus from the instrument. During this period, she explored other interests and eventually relocated to London, seeking new experiences and artistic inspiration.

In London, Kanako's passion for music was reignited when she picked up the guitar. This new instrument provided her with a fresh avenue for creativity, allowing her to experiment and develop her unique sound. She began composing songs that blended her Eastern musical heritage with Western influences, creating a fusion that resonated with a diverse audience.
