‘One of the Girls’ was a breakthrough, receiving unexpected attention from prominent music blogs like Gorilla vs. Bear and Pitchfork. This critical acclaim was a surreal experience for Otha, who hadn't anticipated such a positive reception. Following this success, they released their second single, ‘I’m On Top,’ in October. These tracks, characterized by their introspective yet propulsive energy, have been described as “club music for the introverted.”

Musical Influences and Themes

Otha draws inspiration from a wide range of music, with a particular fondness for artists who invent their own genres and avoid conventional song structures. She cites Swedish pop-sensation Robyn's album ‘Body Talk’ as a significant influence, praising its catchy, driving beats and relatable lyrics.
