Born and raised in East London, Paleblu, whose real name is Ryan Gonsalves, grew up immersed in the city's rich musical culture. His diverse heritage, with a Bengali and Pakistani father and an English and Irish mother, exposed him to a wide array of musical influences from an early age. This eclectic background played a pivotal role in shaping his unique sound, blending elements from various genres to create something truly distinctive.

During his teenage years, Paleblu attended a state school that specialized in performing arts. It was here that he discovered his passion for music production, spending countless hours in the school's Mac suite learning Logic and honing his skills. This period marked the beginning of his journey into the music industry, laying the foundation for his future endeavors as a producer and artist.

Paleblu's career began in the early 2010s, initially making a name for himself as an MC at various warehouse raves and renowned London venues such as Printworks and Fabric. By the age of 21, he had already amassed performance credits with prominent labels like RAM Records and Hospital Records, showcasing his versatility and talent within the drum & bass scene.

In 2020, he collaborated with friend Luke Glazsher on 'The Catch,' a jazzy UK hip-hop track that marked a departure from his earlier work. The following year, singles like 'Mayhem' and 'Might Attach' signaled a new jungle-inspired direction, earning airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio London. His return to drum & bass roots in 2022 saw collaborations with producer Kray, leading to releases on Soulvent Records and PullUp Recordings.

2023 was a landmark year for Paleblu, with the release of 'Drop My Tune' featuring neo-soul artist Emmavie and rapper Idris Miles on DJ Zinc's Bingo Bass label. The track received significant attention, landing on several Apple Music playlists and garnering further support from BBC Radio 1. His debut solo project, 'Lately, The Feels Ain't Been There,' released in summer 2024, showcased his ability to fuse raw UK indie music with his drum & bass roots, performed alongside his five-piece band. This was followed by his second EP, 'Daisies,' in spring 2024, further solidifying his position as a pioneer of the indie-jungle genre.
