One of his early tracks, 'deja vu,' gained significant attention with 8,000 plays in the first few hours, leading Souly Had to make the decision to pursue music full-time instead of going back to class. His independent success caught the attention of Darkchild, and he found himself recording in the same building as Alicia Keys.

Having amassed tens of millions of streams independently, Souly Had signed a major-label record deal with Island Records. Island Records has a prestigious history of launching the careers of renowned artists like Bob Marley & The Wailers, U2, Janet Jackson, Mumford & Sons, Amy Winehouse, Keane, and Demi Lovato.

His EP 'DRUGS' was set for release, and Souly Had continued to make waves in the R&B/hip-hop landscape. His single 'Goner,' featuring Audrey Mika, marked his explosive return. The high-energy music video for 'Goner' showcased kaleidoscopic chaos as an unforgettable ode to partying.
