From Porto to Innervisions
Trikk grew up in Porto absorbing local music alongside African influences passed down from his father, who emigrated from Mozambique during its civil war — a heritage he later drew on for his 'Mundo Ritual' EP. He went on to build his DJ and production career in London before settling in Berlin.
In Berlin, he became closely associated with Innervisions, receiving mentorship from label co-founder Dixon that grew into a lasting friendship. His releases on the label, including the 'Florista EP' and 'Mundo Ritual' EP, established his reputation within underground electronic circles, alongside further releases on Lossless and ManMakeMusic that draw on Portuguese traditions like fado and samba.
