Xosar

Rahman's passion for music ignited during her youth in San Jose, where she explored various genres and found solace in the depths of experimental sounds. She pursued higher education, studying neuropsychology in college, before transitioning to graphic design and music production, reflecting her diverse interests and talents.

In 2011, Rahman moved to The Hague, Netherlands, where she delved into the world of synthesizers, honing her skills and experimenting with sound. Her talent quickly caught the attention of the music industry, leading to her debut releases under the moniker Xosar. These early works showcased her ability to seamlessly blend dark, grainy free-form jams with playful "surfer house" tracks, captivating listeners with her enigmatic soundscapes.

Xosar's musical prowess expanded as she collaborated with established artists like Danny Wolfers (Legowelt) under various aliases, including Xamiga and Trackman Lafonte & Bonquiqui. Throughout the years, she released a series of well-received 12-inch records on renowned labels such as L.I.E.S., Rush Hour, and Crème Organization, solidifying her presence in the electronic music scene.

Under the moniker Xosar, Rahman crafted a sonic identity characterized by dark, noisy, and pushy techno music. Her tracks, released on labels such as M-Division, L.I.E.S., and Rush Hour, reflect her deep interest in ghosts and the paranormal. This fascination with the supernatural seeped into her music, creating an enigmatic atmosphere that resonates with listeners on a profound level.

In 2014, Rahman moved to Berlin, where she founded her own label, Gyrocyre, providing a platform for her creative experimentation. Under this label, she continued to release innovative tracks, exploring the boundaries of techno and delving deeper into her passion for the paranormal.

Rahman's musical journey led her to Berlin, a city known for its vibrant techno scene. There, she collaborated with Jay Donaldson, also known as Palms Trax, a British artist deeply entrenched in the spirit of Chicago house. Their collaboration emerged at the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo in 2014, where their shared passion for boundary-pushing music found a perfect match.

Xosar's music is characterized by its haunting atmospheres, blending elements of horror soundtracks, black metal, and hypnotizing techno. Her compositions evoke emotions and elevate consciousness levels, creating a unique and immersive experience for her audience.

Exploring the Paranormal: Ghosts, Frequencies, and Ouija Boards

She shared tales of her haunted house in San Francisco, complete with ghost-hunting escapades and experiments with EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings.
